Indivisible

November 6, 2018 by dspolo

Today’s election was the just one step in taking back the country, but it has been a long two years.  I took this photo of Jason just as the election in the IL6 Congressional District was called for Sean Casten, the Democratic candidate.  Jason is one of the founders of Indivisible Chicago and the victories in IL6 and IL14 was at least in part because of the hard work of a lot of volunteers with Indivisible.

With gerrymadering, the divergent size of states, the electoral college, increasing voter suppression, and rampant lying we have to work extra hard to ensure that the the results of elections reflect what the majority of us want.  Election work is not glamerous but when you do it with great people, it can be fun.   And in Illinois on this election day — it was a blue wave.
