Peace in the Preserves

A few weeks ago, a woman wearing a Puerto Rican t-shirt and celebrating her birthday in a nearby forest preserve was verbally attacked by a white man who shouted that she should “go back where she came from” while a white male County officer did nothing despite her requests for help.  So the community came out to show its diversity and values and demonstrate for Peace in the Preserves.  There were a lot of children — and these are some of the best.
