What we look for and what we see

July 28, 2018 by dspolo

In some way, I am always looking for certain photos.  Sometimes it is intentional, and sometimes I see what I see because of who I am.  That’s why the photograph is always more about the photographer than about the subject.   When I was in Johnstown, I went to Franklin to take photos when I had time.   And this is what I saw.   It is hard to avoid the vacant lots and abandoned buildings, and patriotism, but is it also what I was looking for because it is what I expect to see?
