You won’t find an event in Chicago where people are more joyful, and where the crowd is more diverse. This photo shows the pride that gives the parade its name. Marching in the parade and watching all the people makes me feel that change is possible and we will win — even it it takes time and the road to getting there is difficult. I want to carry forward that joy and hopefulness — and that pride.
