Because of the times that we live in, when I saw this girl on my hurried way to the EL – all I could think of was all the children like her who our government acting in our name and with our tax dollars are separating from their parents and holding them in cruel and inhumane conditions. All I saw was vulnerability as she sat quietly while her mother sold things to people coming and going from the train.
