I took this top photo today as I killed a little time before meeting someone for dinner. He was aware that I was taking his photo, but never changed his expression. He was sitting outside of a dry cleaners — and I assume he was working there. He reminded me of other photographs of others that I had taken where people were working, but were disconnected from the work they were doing. Were they alienated by the work? Were they thinking of things far removed from what they were doing?
